Key steps in creating an impactful art gallery in any room design in your home.
Create the layout and mark the perimeters of the gallery. Note dimensions,
Divide top that space into large, medium and small rectangles and squares and leave a space of 2” in between the shapes until you fill your pre-determined area. These templates are for size boundaries. When you start to select your art or wall decor you have a perimeter to fit your selections.
Select three large pieces of art to serve as the focal points in your art gallery. You can add family photos, wall decor, mirrors and any other item as long as it fits into your size templates. Refer to your room design and decorating when you select the art so that your gallery accents your furniture and room style.
Determine the color and style you want to display. Your art gallery can be black and white photos of architecture and landscapes, bright colorful geometric art or a gallery of family photos with antique mirrors. There are no style rules so BE CREATIVE!
Cut craft paper patterns that fit the size of each item you want in your gallery. This helps you lay out your art and wall decor within the area and make sure there is space between the items.
Tape your paper patterns of you gallery on the all and begin to hang each piece of art according to that layout.
Make sure you use the proper nails, anchors and a long level to ensure a successful installation of your personal art gallery!
